The 3 pathways are:
Umpiring
Club Badge - (Learning to umpire)
A runner will be provided who will teach you how to umpire, starting on younger age groups and working your way up to harder games. When you are able to umpire a game independently, but not expected to know all the rules in depth, our club convenors will assess you on a game and award a Tigers Club umpires badge.
Association Badge
The pre-requisite to obtaining your Association Badge is to complete the Rules of Netball Exam, Netball Australia - Learning Netball, with a pass of over 70%. You need to be quite competent in controlling a game on your own, applying correct rules and calls. Club convenors will assess your suitability for assessment by IWSNA officials.
National Badge -
The pre-requisite for National C screening is a pass in the Rules of Netball Exam plus completing the Foundation Umpire Education Course online.
Our Club convenors will assess your suitability to be nominated for this. It usually requires some degree of training on faster and higher grade games, at Senior level.
Go to the Netball Australia - Learning Netball portal and after logging in go to the Find Learning link to bring up the required courses, along with a number of other learning opportunities.
